Re: [MOL] Update on Mom

Dear JoAnne

Thanks for the update on your Mom. It is really a roller coaster ride in
every
way, this cancering journey. It's always on your mind, maybe on a back
shelf for short periods of time, but it's still there. I know your Mom must
be frightened and helpless, as if she has no control over her life anymore.
That may be a good reason to gather as much information as possible
and take with you when you visit her on Mother's day.
The Navelbine is pretty mild compared to some chemo's. Navelbines
worse side effects may be the lowering of blood counts. If this happens,
they can give your Mom shots for white and red blood counts.
My brother has Navelbine every week, it takes 45 minutes. They give
him an anti nausea Zolfran. Marty has a combination for nausea that
works great too.
You can go to search engine and get information on Navelbine.
You might let your Mom know that my brother didn't lose his hair
with Navelbine, so maybe her hair will start coming back in soon.
That was sweet of John to offer to shave his head.
JoAnne, please let us know if there is anything at all that you
would like our opinions or experience with.
Is your Mom taking any supplements? That might be another
group of information you might gather for your Mom.
Take Care and
God Bless
DIana
