PET scans are sorta like MRI's only more exact. The are suppose to
be able to differentiate between scar tissue and tumor for example.
I think they also can pick up smaller tumors, etc. But if you'll go to
search engine and type in PET SCANS, maybe you can get better
information. Medicare did approve PET scans a few months ago,
so I can't believe some Dr's and insurance companies have a problem
approving these tests.
