Food and vitamins for thought and good health tips in reply to some of
the conversations here about same.
Jeanne, Lil, Diana, Carla and all. These are some basic and thoughts
about vitamins and supplements. Think about this for a minute. If you
ate nothing at all and just ingested vitamins and supplements they would
do nothing but cause much toxicity and acidity to vital organs. That
includes all the things that Jeanne mentioned,as we also are on most of
what she is taking in her daily routine. The key is this. that all
these are, vitamins are supplements. enzymes are supplements and
supplements are supplements. They are not to be ingested as a substitute
for the dietary needs and foods that are necessary for them to
supplement. In other words, if Jeanne and Barb is taking 16 grams,
(16,000 mg) of vitam C (abscobic acid) daily without having some vitamin
c in the diet, then the vitamin c supplement may harm or build up
toxicity. That goes for any supplement and vitamin. Jeanne is absolutely
right about when the body tells you enough is enough or to back off and
by the way Jeanne, I have learned that when the body is telling you to
back off it means you are healing. I was told that by the vitamin c
foundation.
The daily recommended dietary needs are 5-9 green and other nutritious
vetables and fruits a day. That is what the supplements work best for.
to supplement those daily dietary needs to keep the immune system
healthy.
Another thought or tip is the liver is the only regenerating organ in
the body. Milk thistle is a supplement to cleanse the liver and help
avoid cancer, but it works better if a beet a day is ingested, whether
raw or steamed or juiced, as it is the best to cleanse and detxofy the
liver.
Another thought. I have heard mention and read that vitamins, and
supplements may cause toxicity. This is not as concerning as the great
amount of toxicity build up in our body from the many years of foods
that are not condusive to good health, like fats, sugars, excess of
meats, (beef, pork and chickens)
A Tip, in order to detoxify the vital organs and colon besides a daily
regimen of 5-9 essential vegatables and fruit also include brown rice
and home made pinto or kidney beans. We have included all in our daily
regimen, of course utilizing the many recipes which are available and
tasty and toxity is not a problem. The way you know that detoxification
process is taking place as a result of this regimen of diet is: YOu find
yourself being more regular, energetic, active and less tired, more
alert, etc. We experiene that.
Another tip: When you include those above, then learn to understand why
the processed white flour is not good as opposed to wheat flour, and
learn why meats, chickens and pork is not healthy as opposed to fish,
wild game, and lamb.
HOpe this helps. I know that some may not agree, but this is based on
our experience, the many books read, the programs we have attended and
researched. I find that the quality of life is so much more rewarding as
a result of the lifestyle change that we undertook in order to beat
cancer. I know as well that this regimen need not be a chore and
everyting in moderation, but I will also say that the benefits are
there, from a medical and emotional viewpoint.
God Bless
