Betty,
That is very interesting, your attitude. Thanks. I play bridge too.
I am 59 years old. Two times in my life, I play bridge like an
addict. When I was in college and about ten years ago. I play
duplicate bridge. As a amateur, I consider myself quite good. The
2nd time I picked it up, I was rookie of the year in my local region.
I am glad you are cheering me up.
Of course, I am hoping for the best. Mavis will be doing a bone scan
tomorrow. then biopsy later this week. So, all the results are not
in yet. Let us hope for the best. Shall we?
Does your doctor not believe chemo will help for all cases, or just in
your case? Dr. So is a liver surgeon and he said he will not operate,
but recommends chemo instead. Of course, treatment does not start
until after all the tests are in.
Is chemo worse than the disease? Does anyone out there know?

Ben
I am 64 but young at heart. My Dr. here has never mentioned the
stage.
In Feb. he told my family 6mos. He just told me to get my affairs in
order and make the best of my time. He is a surgeon and does not
believe
chemo will help. Well, I have decided to find out. Instead of getting
my
affairs in order, I am getting my summer clothes ready for a trip to
PA-
Ohio and Iowa. In June I have an appt. at M D Anderson. I feel better
than I did in Feb.
There is no way I will just give up. You probably have seen milk
thistle
mentioned. I take it and try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I
have always been a high energy person and I am still pretty active. I
would have answered sooner but I was out playing bridge all
afternoon..
Betty
have a good day
