Dear Lynne,
I included the following in case you were interested. My husband was
diagnosed with metastasized melanoma at Christmas. Prognosis was, if he DID
NOT respond to treatment, his life expectancy could be as short as 2 to 3
months. His melanoma had metastasized to brain, liver and lungs. He did
respond initially to radiation and chemo in that the tumor growth was
arrested. But chemo had to be discontinued, and he was, from the beginning
consistently getting weaker and thinner every week. It has been a steady
decline since Christmas and at this point everyone is surprised that he is
still hanging on. I try everything I can get my hands on and have success
only in helping him stabilize when docs and nurses don't expect him to
level out even for a little while. Go to the internet and do a search on
metastasized melanoma and you will have leads to a melanoma cancer list and
many other info sources. Just search and you will find, and I am sorry to
admit that you will not like what it has to say about met. mel. Sorry, love
to you and your friend, Susan

I'm sorry, I didn't realize this was addressed to me personally till just
now. I'm really sorry. I will be happy to give you much detail, but I can't
just this moment. Bottom line is, Bob, in my opinion (and doc agrees) is in
the stage called "cachexia" (basically the body is beginning to shut down,
and inability to eat is a major problem during this phase) and I started
giving him noni and he began to eat a little and I started him on Ensure.
We had a bit of a rest from declining and I attribute it to noni. Nothing
else changed in his regimen except adding that. More later. Bob is really
sliding again. Rich sells it wholesale, he can connect you over the phone
and it is just shipped directly to you. I recommend the "Variety Pack". The
stuff tastes terrible, but I can't help but wonder if it could have done
even more good if I had started him on Noni Juice with Noni 1 and Noni 2
supplements mixed in. He can explain all that. He is very enthusiastic but
don't be put off by that as he is very sincere and people have doubted
that cause he is a distributor. Just give him an email or a call if you
want. I think anything is worth a try, and like my doc said, it can't hurt.
But even my doctor admitted that he did seem surprisingly better when Dr.
Loukas had feared a decline that would end in death soon after leaving the
hospital. That was in Feb. Sorry, but I really gotta go. Susan and Bob

Subject: [MOL] advice
Maybe someone can help -- My friend was just told that he has between 2
weeks and 2 months to live. He's 41 and was diagnosed with melanoma 1 1/2
years ago. He went through interferon theraphy for one year. 2 months
after
the theraphy, he began having headaches and discovered that he had tumors
on
his brain (as well as his lungs). He is not vomitting (which cannot be
controlled). He was sent home today and hospice has been called. The
doctors
at Harper Hospital in Detroit have told him there is nothing they can do.
Any last minute miracles out there???? Thank you very much. Lynne
