Dear Jean,
this website on meditation and imagery is so very vital and important.
Essentially the ability to receive treatment with positive thoughts and
beliefs, equally essentially is the mind to help heal the body is by
understanding what meditation and imagery is about and how it does help
in the healing process. This website you have shared with us, even
though long, is necessary for each and all to understand as in many ways
this process is even more progressive than taking meds or additional
medications. I find that one of the emotions that we all incur during
diagnosis are the fears and negative anxieties. Well, by utilizing the
methods of meditation, relaxation and guided imagery in many ways is a
deterrent to those negative emotions as well a means to overcome them.
This had been the case with Barb, as I have found that to be the case in
many of the survivors that I know and have interviewed. The success of
this method is the consistency, daily regimen and routine that is
necessary. It is not a hard task or job, but after a while a
pleasurable, comforting, daily routine of calmness. It doesn't take long
to do, but usually is successful when meditating for at least 20 minutes
or so, about 3 times a day and we find it to be during arising, midday
and at bedtime in a nice sit up comfortable chair and in a special place
of comfort and quiet and peace.
Thank you Jean...and God Bless
your friend
