Re: [MOL] Update on Mom

Dear John & JoAnne

I forgot one thing. There is absolutely no reason why anyone taking chemo
should have to suffer from nausea. There are several very good anti-nausea
medications. My brother has had at least 48 treatments (chemo) and
after the first week, he has never had a problem with nausea. They put
Zolfran in his IV before chemo. It's expensive, but no big deal. Several
on the forum can tell you about anti-nausea medications.
Every person reacts differently to each chemo or chemo combination.
Some have wonderful results with treatment for brain mets. When one
treatment doesn't work, most good Dr's will move on to another.
This is a rollercoaster ride, but I believe the battle can be won. Also
there are several new trials going on, NCI at # I gave you will let
you know about those and see if your Mom would qualify for any of
those.
Just more thoughts that might help.
Take Care
Diana
