[MOL] Re: MARY

Dear Mary

Welcome to the mol forum. I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. You might
want to clarify the dx with your Mom or Mom's Dr.
You are right about the stats, ignore them and go into this battle with
a positive attitude.
Has your Mom had a second opinion? What treatments are they
suggesting? What area do you live in? Is there a teaching hospital near
you.
When you find out the exact dx, call 1-800-4-cancer (National Cancer Inst)
and ask them for all the information re clincal trials, Dr's in your area,
etc.
My brother was dx with stage 111b NSCLC Adeno, 3/97. He had
radiation and continues to take chemo treatments. We also have him
taking lots of supplements and try to keep his diet healthy.
There are lots of people on the forum that will respond and give you
and your Mom support as you go thru this battle. Please know you
will be in my thoughts and let us know if you have any questions, if
you need to vent.
Please let us know how things are going.
Take Care
Diana
