My name is Mary and my mom has recently been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma
most likely starting in her lungs. She is 50 years old and starting
radiation on Monday and chemo after they get the results of further tests.
She had a pain in her shoulder that turned out to be a tumor that caused a
fracture. While doing the bone scan they found a mass on her right, lower
lobe of her lung and the left adrenal gland.
>From what I read this is most likely small-cell lung cancer and is not
cureable. I am looking for answers and maybe some hope as to some
survivors out there. My grandmother and aunt died of lung cancer. In
fact, everyone I have ever know with lung cancer has died.
My mom and I, as well as the rest of the family, are looking for positive
views and not just stats.
I would appreciate any response.
