Dear Steve: I am so happy you got a second opinion. There is only one who
know's exactly how long your mother has to live and he's not a mortal on
earth. So often we hear this from people and believe me, on the MOL line
we have seen many people go way past what the doctor predicted. Also the
treatments aren't as bad as before. If your mother is going on Chemo, get a
port, and also request the medication to stop nausa. She will be tired and
that is natural. She needs to drink plenty of fluid (water). Pls. know
that we will help you and your mother both in mind and spirt and whatever
knowledge we have. I have attatched a list of the sites we use to help you
in your research. I would suggest you go to Medicine On Line, go to
archives, then type in the name of the cancer and you will see the research
work that has been done for this type of cancer. You can also call NCI,
again nbr. attatched for you. There will be other messages from our
wonderful MOL friends; so keep checking for their messages. Sincerely,
Lillian

(On the Home Page of Medicine On Line (MOL) go to
Medline. This is a service of the National Library of Medicine which
provides literature searches in the medical journals. When you enter the
name of the cancer it will return articiles from the
last 3 years. The cancer links contains patient files. The Medicine
On Line Cancer Services are listed there including some quite good
international sites.)
