Re: [MOL] Ruth

Ruth, I too am adenocarcinoma though we know that the primary for me was in
the bronchus on the right lung. I had my lung removed last November and
really seem to be doing well overall. I was diagnosed as Stage IIb and one
lymph node was affected and removed and no additional metastases.

My doctor recommended taxol/c.platin, but I did not have chemo. I was fine
at my 3 month check up and then end of April is the next CT scan etc., as my
six month checkup. I think the hardest thing for me is the fact that the
insurance companies go by the statistics and apparently don't want to
authorize full testing at major milestone checkups like six months. Myself
I believe that I am an individual and that each day there are strides being
made and they should not discount complete testing as early detection could
make a difference. They seem to feel that it doesn't and so won't authorize
it.

So I keep my attitude positive and my heart lifted to God, who doesn't make
me prove myself each and everyday, but loves me unconditionally for the
person that I am. Besides there is more power there than in a test. I am
glad that you are here on the mol-forum and look forward to learning and
sharing with you. This is a good forum and you will find many large hearts
here. May God Bless you.. Carla
