Dear Carla
When did you live in DC? We used to make at least one trip every couple
of years (when we were younger).
I love DC. It would take me a couple of months just to go thru all the
Smithsonian. I love history, I love the old plantations in La. Have you
been to the old plantations in Miss, La and Georgia? You would love
those old mansions. The woodwork alone is enough to make me drool.
I'm a realtor and this is a strange place. The only places or parts of
town that are old in our city of 200,000 is about 10 blocks where original
town started. Maybe 4-6 nice old houses. Most of homes have been
built since 1950's, and they all look alike to me. We go thru this
color thing by the year it was built, most of homes are on concrete
slab (oh, do I miss my basement) wall to wall carpeting, tile and all
the custom builders homes are really just another assembly line
product. I know I don't have esp, but I almost always know what
the property is going to look like inside when I stop in front. (they all
look alike to me from outside too)LOL
If I had lived in DC when I was young and single, I'm sure I would have
had a great time and probably not repeated some of the things I'm sure
I would have done, but God sure blessed us with an almost perfect
child. She always went to bed early, in high school never after 10pm
during week and of course later on fri and sat night, well she keep this
up thru college, except when finals were coming up. Parties were
for weekends, she's 28 now and during week she still has to have
her 8 hours sleep, never eats any junk food (since she was 13) I love
junk food, love to stay up until 3am and sleep late, she was our alarm
clock until she went to college. I don't know where I got this child,
she cooks and doesn't like to go out to eat because she's afraid they'll
add butter or something good to the food. We go out 3-6 times a week,
I hate to cook, I'm a lousy cook, My husband's a much better cook, so
when we eat at home, he grills or whatever.
Wouldn't that be a hoot if we could make that trip to NY and find that
old church, Ron said it was small, you think all of us could fit.LOL
What a combination, I bet we could really come up with a beauty.
We watched the skating tonight, Morgan thought Michelle should win
and I asked her to watch because I had heard that Tara did a fantastic
job, I thought they were both great, however, I kinda felt the Tara had
a lightness about her that Michelle didn't. What did you think?
I'm strange, during baseball world series each year, I might start out
with a favorite, but then I always hate it that there has to be a loser, so
same thing with a lot of other sports, contests, etc.
Carla, I'm going to have to find a good joke for you. That's exactly
what you need now that you have those little pills.
I didn't realize an insurance co could dictate how often you could have
a test if the Dr felt there was a reason to order one. I know you are
really having a crappy week, but when you feel better, call the insurance
co and clarify this, then ask them to send that to you in writing. As
Lillian said, politicians are not her favorite group, corporate greed is
right up there with these politicians and I'v seen many patients in the
last year win battles with the Ins companies. So if you feel you need
an MRI now, fight for it.
Take care and I'm sure hoping you wake up today with less pain and
surrounded by love and peace.
Hugs
Diana
