Dear Lisa,

yes there is much to share. May I say this before we start that it is so
very important that the person that is on chemo, NOT TO LOSE WEIGHT.
That does not mean that the person should be eating banana splits during
this time, of course banana splits like any pleasures in moderation is
not a bad therapy. While juicing is good, it is something that we do as
one, but one of the many nutritional components to progressive healthy
immune system revitalization and stimulation as a daily procedure.

I have been told and I have seen under microscope the many microbes that
are in meats, chickens and dairy products. Personally, I would stay away
from these meat products as well as all sugars, as cancer tumors feed
off sugar.

While what may be good for us, I would urge you to check with the
Hospital facility which may have a good nutritional center that will
take basic tests to determine immune system deficiency and review
records of diagnosis in order to provide you with what they believe is a
specific diet for the person that is undergoing chemo. We have a center
at Kaiser that does just that. I believe most every medical facility has
a nutritional testing and guidance to the specific needs. You may wish
to check with them first and foremost as what may be good for us, may or
may not be good for yours and your families benefit. But here I go with
our recommendations.

This is almost a daily routine and logically understandable in keeping
the immune system revitalized and wellbalanced and clean. During chemo
our system tends to be clogged and binding. Sometimes the ability to
release waste materials is difficult. When that happens it the wasted
material or feces matter becomes toxic in addition to the chemo thereby
causing additional side effects.

To correct this a well balanced meal with steamed veggies, a brown rice
and/or bean (home cooked and prepared to liking) is very essential. A
daily routine of rice and/beans cleans out the system of any toxicity.
They may be cooked in various methods. there are many cook books that we
have and experiment with the recipes but either the Mexican or Italian
or various ethnic recipes can be home cooked and prepared and very
nutritious.

To compliment this, I would add a meat about 4 times a week and that may
be a fish or wild game or lamb as these tend not to have cancer or
foreign microbes. We are able to procure wild game by advertising in the
local penny saver that cancer survivor needs wild game for nutritional
factor and we get many contributions at a very reasonable expense. This
is the way to go especially if you get deer venison, or grouse or
pheasant which we have and it is all fed naturally without preservatives
or additives.

I hope this helps. By the way the greener the vegatable steamed the
better. Now if there are other side effects to chemo, let me know as I
may be able to help.

Take care Lisa and God Bless. If you wish I could send several recipes
to you.

God Bless
marty and Barb
