Re: [MOL] Alternative treatments

Right on John, BUT !!!

What if someone out there does have the silver bullet and we are so shocked by
the astronomical price tag that we consider them to be scum and miss the
opportunity. Penicillian came form scum you'll recall. Actually it was
mold.

But anyways, as we say in Virginia, we who are neophites in the medical arena
are at a serious disadvantage. Or at least
I feel that I am.

Since it takes a lot of time for all of us to digest all the information which
is coming at us like we are drinking from a fire hose, there must be some way
for us, the caregivers and victims of cancer, to assimilate the data better.

Was toying with the following idea. What if we contact some prominent
university medical school's oncology staff and offer modest support for a
small group of students as follows.

We pay 2 or 3 advanced students $25.00 or so, per hour for 5 hours each, per
week for one month to digest some of the plethora of data hitting us. Point
is to have an honest assessment of the informaiton on which to proceed.

I believe that they would be checking a lot of this out anyway in their normal
educational pursuits. Could we get NCI/NIH to provide support like this for
us? Could we get a caregivers grant from the government? Could this be an
extension of some of the services currently being provided by NCI?

Do not know but suspect that NCI is not allowed to give out unapproved
information and opinions. Well, some of us need/want this frank discourse and
dam the torpedos.

Look at all the references to Hydrazine Sulfate, and many other medicines over
the past two weeks. What of Berzinski's magic potients? What about Shark
cartilage and oils and gensing and clematis root, China#1, etc.

I sure will be upset to find that I have missed the boat for my brother-in-law
because I just cannot assimilate the info fast enough with enough
sophistication to "know" that I am giving him the best data.

The doctors have basically written him off saying, just make him comfortable
and happy.

There will come a time to accept that he may stop living among us. I believe
that will be at the funeral.

Until then, we must grasp for straws, be it antineoplastin, hyperthermia, or
whatever.

Any ideas gang??? Suggestions welcomed?
