Last week I posted a message asking if anyone
had seen the Entertainment tonight segment on a Cancer vaccine. I gave up
searching the ET site and went to Duke University and that is where there is
some information. I have limited information at the time, but I do know
that the NIH Recombiant DNA Advisory committee approved clinical trials June
1997 for 18 patients with breast, lung and colorectal cancer.
It apparently uses denditic immune cells and RNA
that encodes for a common tumor. It is being used in a preventative
fashion for recurrence. I have sent some
inquiries out and hope to get much more information and I will forward it on
when I do.
