Christine: I thought fruitcake kept forever because no one ever eats it, but they hate to throw it out because someone gave it to them! It reminds me of a couple of my friends, and has nothing to do with fruitcake. These ladies were cooking rivals and were always trying to outdo each other. We were all into German cooking at the time, and these two were having a contest of sorts -- seeing who could marinate their saurbrauten (sp) the longest. My friend, Jan, won. She marinated hers for three months, then buried it in the yard! LOL Love, Kathy

Where Frank is, it is cold, plus he has been using it as a wheel for a
scooter, so it is probably frozen solid. Doesn't fruitcake keep forever? LOL.
