Kathy, We went to see Star Trek and was surprised to see it had started
pouring buckets while we were inside! Loved seeing the gang and not too
much older.Never got much of the dialogue so I usually play catchup after
and will probably buy the book and watch it on video after it has been
captioned. So we never got our white Christmas. Picked Tribute mag and
noticed an article about couples. "David E Kelly is a true Hollywood
genius. Here's a guy who wirtes almost every word of TV's Allie McBeal and
The Practice and still makes it home by six every night. If you were
married to Michelle Pfeiffer, you would too."
Also watched Dame Kiri Te Kanawa singing "O Holy Night". What a marvellous
voice and even I can notice the vast difference in her range and the singer
I saw the next night. Dionne Warwick, I wonder why she agreed to sing it...
not her style. The carol needs a soprano with a very high range. My
audiologist says I can't possibly enjoy music but with a childhood
saturated with church and choral music singing as a high soprano, it seems
that my brain can fill in the blanks. I notice it especially at Christmas.

Boxing day is the day after Christmas. Winnie, our English friend, gave two
versions. One it was the day that maids took boxes of leftovers to their
moms.The other version is that it was the day gratituties where paid to
service people. The gifts were given in boxes.
