Dear Suzie,
In a case like this there are several options that you have to provide
you with information that will help you in your decision on what the
next steps of treatment should be for you. So, may I suggest this:
Call the National Cancer Institute at 1-800-4cancer and ask them for a
list of three comprehensive hospitals in your area to seek a 2nd or
maybe 3rd opinion.
Second ask them for a written protocal called a PDQ (physicians data
query)as that will inform you of the type of diagnosis you have and
provide you with a list of various protocals of treatment.
this will provide you several options as well as education to help you
along with your decision. There are many other things that I would
suggest, just my opinion, and that is there are many books to read that
will also help provide you with hope, positive beliefs and other methods
to help you start a wellness program, so that eventually you will
overcome your disease and stay on a good maintenance program of health.
Pls do stay in touch as I believe there are so many more great souls
here who will also provide you with positive information and education
as you seek and ask more questions.
God Bless
