I just wanted to let you know that I truly hope that you all found a
blessing in your heart today... I found several. Last night we were
with my parents, brother, his family, our youngest, my niece and great niece and
nephew..
You all might remember my speaking of my great nephew Jacob (Jake) and
asking for prayers for him as he had been in intensive care for 25 days with
ruptured appendix.. Blessing number one... He is doing great and was
busy being a two year old boy last night! Thank God for saving this baby's
life, I know he will touch many one day.. he is such a cutie!
My great niece paid me the highest compliment that an 8 year old
could.. She wanted to come home with me last night, rather than go
home where Santa would be!! Needless to say, she has moi wrapped around
her finger and I played the game Pretty, pretty, Princess; 3 times with
her!! I won twice and was all decked out in jewelry with a crown!!
Anyway, she is going to come spend a night with me this week while she is off
school... I am sure I will be challenged! LOL!
Enjoyed the time with the family and I was glad that it all went
well.. Got home very late and stayed up to finish a gift that I was making
for the oldest and her family, until 4:00 a.m. Needless to say, the next
blessing was that I was able to get up at all this morning!! But I did and
we went safely to Richmond, Ky. and had a wonderful day with them..
Grandbaby Alexis owns every toy they ever made and finds very little interest in
them.. Give her something simple and she is thrilled.. She is very
independent and has a vivid imagination..
They got her a brightly colored potty training chair and Alexis loves
it!!
She sits on top of it, drags it around and when she gets ahold of crackers
and things.. opens the lid and throws them in for when she is hungry!!
LOL!! Now who could learn to pee on their food!! Egads she is a
pistol!
We left around 9:30, though they asked us to stay and go to see
"Stepmom" with them, we came on home.. Just couldn't stay without
planning and having clothes etc... She offered to wash everything,
but......
I was also honored that both girls wanted me to go see Stepmom with
them.. They were 7 and 8 when their father and I met, so they have been a
part of my life for a long time and I love them very much.. We are going
to see "Stepmom" with the youngest on Sunday afternoon..
I sure hope it is funny and not sad..
Well, you all have the story of my Christmas and though not real exciting,
it was good and I am ready for bed... I know from scanning the posts that
some of you weren't able to spend time with family due to weather and some of
you (nanc) wish they hadn't seen some of their family(sister)... but I
sincerely hope that all of you found your heart, a smile, a hug, a hope, a
blessing and God's love...
Much love to all and to all a good night!! Merry Christmas...
Carla
