My son and I will be going to a friend's house for dinner this afternoon. I
have to make the sweet potatoes and fruit salad and a veggie plate. She is
doing the cooking otherwise. We did the same thing on Thanksgiving only I
did the turkey etc and we were at my house.
We had a little snow in Yakima yesterday but not much and it is very dry
and powdery. Just enough to make a mess. Not enough to be pretty.
I'm glad I am not driving through there. I used to go back to Bellevue for
Christmas but since my parent died and my sister's kids live in Boise, she
goes to their places and I stay put in Yakima. I much prefer to travel in
the spring, summer and fall. My sister is supposed to be driving to Boise
from Bellevue (Just south of Sun Valley) today. Her son owns a
grocery/liquor store in Caldwell. He used to own a 7/11 in Boise. Her
daughter just got her first teaching contract, teaching Spanish in Nampa.
