Marty,
She is receiving Mitomycin-C, it's a new form of chemotherapy that is still in
the testing stages but very close to being approved by the FDA or ADA she told
me. She got it yesterday by intravenous and she said it took about 3 hours.
Her radiation started Monday (the 23rd) and that was her first chemo. She will
be having radiation for a total of 7 weeks and a week after she finishes the
radiation she will have another dose of chemo. (She has squamous carcinoma at
the base of her tongue) I told her last night on the phone to try to get some
Essiac as I hear a lot about it on the internet.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide me :)
Wanda
