[MOL] ACCP recommends aspirin for adults at any cardiovascular risk

Good Morning My Friends,

HOpe the following info benefits those with cardiovascular concerns.
This is a tough area for us as we just lost a Brother to a
misdiagnosed condition.....Pls take heed of any and all warnings that
your body and mind tells you. Alway consider 2nd opinions when there is
a major or concern about your health. Just my opinion.

ACCP recommends aspirin for adults at any cardiovascular risk

DALLAS, Nov 11 (Reuters Health) - The American College of Chest
Physicians has issued a new consensus statement on antithrombotic
therapy here at the American Heart Association's annual meeting
and at their own annual meeting which is underway in Toronto.
Among the new recommendations is that aspirin be taken by any
adult over the age of 50 who has only a single risk factor for
cardiovascular disease. "That's a very substantial increase over
past recommendations," Dr. Jack Hirsh of the Hamilton Civic
Hospital Research Center in Hamilton, Ontario, and co-chair of
the ACCP report, told Reuters Health. A huge number of
apparently healthy adults have at least one risk factor, he
noted.

Note -

>From the latest medical research, the optimal adult dose is a daily 81
MG enteric coated aspirin but to switch to a single 325 MG regular
enteric coated dose on the 1st and 15th of each month. Dr. Silver
recommends Bayer brand. It is very important however to not self treat
and to discuss long term aspirin treatment with your physician.

God Bless
