Yep, they do still remove gall bladders. And yep, they do it via laparoscopy
(tiny incisions). There is also a procedure called lithotripsy, in which
kidney/gallstones can be 'shattered' via a type of laser. This only gets rid
of the stones though, and some people have recurrances. :)
