[MOL] Kathy

Kathy, I am so proud of you!!! I'm sure it was scary -- we are so afraid
of being rejected -- but the paradox is that it can give your friends
the chance to support you while opening the door for them to talk about
their own fears. We are then able to help each other! To this day, I
still take opportunities to talk about the cancer when it seems right
(always in a matter-of-fact way) because it's a way to educate people.
There are still too many folks who are so terrified about cancer because
of the way it's depicted by the media, that they are afraid to get the
tests they need, and then wait too long. You are sending a powerful
statement that you may have cancer, but the cancer doesn't have YOU!!!
YAY!! Love you, and am so happy for you! Joicy
