Good morning, Marty: It's soooooo nice to hear from you again. I went to work today without my wig for the first time since all my hair fell out. People are calling me "Pete." Needless to say, it's pretty short. Thanks for the information about high blood pressure and potassium. I just happen to have high blood pressure, and will ask my doctor about the potassium supplements. I'm feeling wonderful and looking forward to the holidays with my family. I know you are, too. Again, welcome back!!! Your friend, Kathy in Boise

Potassium supplements lower blood pressure in patients with
essential hypertension
WESTPORT, Oct 28 (Reuters Health) - Potassium supplements have a
small but significant antihypertensive effect in patients with
essential hypertension, according to the results of a Japanese
study. Dr. Yuhei Kawano and others, at the National
Cardiovascular Center in Osaka, examined the effects of potassium
supplementation in 55 patients with essential hypertension, who
were between 36 and 77 years of age.
