  A single red rose...in memory of Matthew Shepard.

 Please pass on this rose as a tribute to Matthew Shepard.  
 
 Matthew was the gay University of Wyoming student and a friend of mine who
was brutally beaten by two straight students.  He was robbed, lashed to a
rail-post, and then beaten and left for dead in near-freezing temperatures.  A
passing bicyclist found him the next morning and mistook him for a scarecrow.
Matthew was in a coma and died this past Monday.  His skull had been so
crushed, doctors could not operate.  
 
 The two straight men, Arthur Henderson, 21, and Aaron James McKinney, 22, are
being charged with first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping with
intent to inflict bodily injury or to terrorize the victim.  They could face
the death penalty.
 
 Please pass this on and lets see how many names we can gather in Memory of
Matthew.  Pass it on and back and forth so we can all see!!
