Re: [MOL] The things that kids say...

Hi Christine
My son goes to nursery school. But he is so smart. Not from the school. I
think the school is a waste of money but he likes his friends. My son knew
the alphabet by 11 months, he knew how to count to 20 by 12 months. I always
talked to him and wrote words every day on the paper for him to find. He is
way to smart. I had him in camp over the summer and the parents called me up
and thanked me because MY SON taught their kids the alphabet and words. CAN
YOU BELIVE IT a 3 year old teaching. The only thing is HE WON'T GO ON THE
POTTY. Oh well.
I think the nursery schools are just money hungry. He tells me it's boring.
I will visit tommorow and see what goes on. I gave it 2 months to see if he
is learning anything besides making friends. The only thing I don't like is
his teacher is "TIME OUT" happy. I don't believe in TIME OUTS the way she is
doing it. I believe in talking and trying to commuicate not punish. I do
give TIMEOUTS when tantrums are thrown but other than that she gives it for
every little thing. So tommorow she is going to have a visitor. I have called
her numerous times to discuss this with her but she FORGETS to call me back.
I came up with a system that in his backpack I put a MOMMY TEACHER notebook
that we communicate back and forth each day to see what he did for the day.
But she has a problem communicating.
This is not a knock against teachers. I'm just signaling out this one.
How about your kids did they have teachers like this if so I would appreicate
any advise you can give me.
Thanks
Love, Hugs, Kisses
PJ
