Joicy: I couldn't agree with you more and I certainly couldn't put it any better than you did. We need more compassion and understanding in this world. -- Kathy

I've had many gay friends (is it possible to work in the arts and not?)
and for the life of me, I do not understand why this is the one group
left that has no rights or protection, and that it's ok to persecute.
There are a lot of self-righteous people (especially those who condemn
the gays while indulging in or overlooking heterosexual hanky-panky) who
are going to have a lot to answer for. Hate and cruelty in any guise is
still hate and cruelty. I have 2 gay friends who adopted the infant of a
woman with AIDS, with the high risk this little infant would be very
sick, but they were willing. She's now 10, doing great, and a more
beautiful, loving family would be hard to find. I'm sorry, but I think
it's time people stop looking for scapegoats, and start working on
themselves instead! Love you, and appreciate your big hearts, Joicy
