Good morning, Jo: You certainly have some good points there! I feel much better telling someone else how great they are than telling them how great I think I am! Plus, I don't really think that. When I get an atta-girl from someone else, I feel wonderful, though. We need to be reminded to give credit where it's due every day, and that the old saying "What goes around comes around," is right on point! -- Kathy in Boise

Subject: [MOL] "thoughts for today"
Hi All,
Here I am once again with my "thoughts for today."
Most of us don't like it when people brag about themselves (even if we
too do it on occasion). There are a lot of insecure people out there
who feel the need to tell others how great they are or how good they can
do something. Most of them don't realize that makes them look BAD, not
GOOD like they were hoping! With that in mind, here are my "thoughts
for today":
He who parades his virtues seldom leads the parade.
The emptiest man in all the world is the man who is full of
himself.
I imagine the reason so many people are patting themselves on the back
is that there aren't enough of us doing it for them. You can really
brighten up someone's day if you take the time to tell them they are
doing a good job. I know that may be difficult if you think they are
only doing what is expected of them anyway, but it is still important to
let them know they did it well. We all need that ol' pat on the back
once in a while. Why not make it a point to brighten up someone's day
today?
God bless,
Jo
