Yes, I don't understand this, why waste so much time on trying to fix
something yourself. James wanted a faster processor and bought into
generic. Win 95 would not work properly on them. Tried another brand, same
thing. It seems to have gone on for weeks. I think this is a man thing and
I think some men just enjoy the process of fixing things. Runs in the
family, James' brothers are all the same. They really do hate to pay
someone else to do something they can do themselves and usually better. We
should have all been farmers. My dad is the same way. Me, I feel like
marching into a computer store and buying a government certified computer
and saying when I get home, "mine, all mine!"
Woke one day and looked out the window, FOG. I love fog though it is COLD!
Our bedroom window is above tree level and the view is quite stunning right
now with the fall colour. Even driving around is an adventure. Later, the
sun finally burned this off and the shafts of light striking the gold of
the turning trees was striking. It was strange as this comes just after a
day where the temp rose to 19 degrees Celsius. I don't know off hand what
this is in F... 69? I had been driving along a "scenic route" at twilight.
The houses perched on the rocks looked like something out of a Club poster
and the colours of the fading sun broke and shimmered on the water. I had
this sensation of moving through a pastel colour wash...unreal. I talked
Cathy into coming with me to Cattle Point again another day and this time
the sky and the world again a colour wash, this time of various shades of
grey. This must be close to what a colourblind person, or a dog or cat
would see. Still as it was, there were about 30 sailboats close to shore
waiting for the wind to pick up. BRRR! Gulls sitting around waiting for the
"winds up" signal and more Harquellians! (I wonder how that is spelled)
It is Ohio, where you live isn't it, Les. Used to be Five Nations country,
though they may be in hiding.
For those who wonder, talking about the weather is a favorite pastime. Do
you agree, Christine. Christine, you lucky lady, a live-in techie yet!
Say a little prayer for me... off to see an internist tomorrow. Same guy
who looked after me when I had the colon resection. He does a colonoscopy
every once in a while. I don't mind them actually, I never remember a
thing. I wonder though, how do people get to choose career paths that
involve looking up other people's rectums? Should I ask?
God Bless, Jeanne
