Well, I had another visit with Dr. Hoffer, M.D. Phd. FRCP(C) practicing in
Victoria, BC. I have to thank this man who kept us from giving up after my
initial pleural effusion and battery of test came up negative on a primary
tumor. The doctor basically told me to go home and enjoy my life and if any
symptoms showed up, then they would treat them but I was to understand that
any treatment would be palliative. Well, anyway, I knew of Dr Hoffer
through Jane my doctor and family friend so James, my husband trotted off
to see him. Basically, he just LISTENED and then suggested I take the
following various supplements to boost my immune system and to better
handle any conventional treatments that might be offered to me. No charge
for his service to us as Canada medicare covers consultation with medical
doctors and he does NOT sell the supplements. He offers no cures. What he
gave us is HOPE and restored my fighting spirit.
Of course, as Marty knows, since I have had no conventional treatment, our
family has explored other treatments and theories. Anyway, I finally got
around to asking him how I could mention what I take without being sued or
being inundated with people telling me about side-effects of taking high
doses of various supplements and producing a "Mr Wright" effect on me. He
said to if anyone asks, to simply tell them what I take and say if they
consider taking supplements to tell their doctor. All my doctors (7 at
latest count) know what I take as I give them my list when I see them.
