RE: [MOL] radio-frequency ablation

Joicy thanks for the info. I have primary liver cancer and not a lot of
treatment is available. I investigated a trial using RFA
at San Antonio, Texas and was turned down because I have 8 tumors and
their protocol only allowed 3. The Dr. didn't say he couldn't do it but
that he had to follow his protocol. Dale where did you get the info that
13 could be done? Is your cancer primary or mets to the liver?
I am currently in a trial at M.D. Anderson.
Iget chemo 5 days each mo. Will continue for 6 treatments if it is
helping. Since I started chemo I have not developed any new tumors. No
reduction in size but they have not enlarged either. My AFP has gone
down from 7000 to 2000. The 20th I go for an MRI and if the report is
good I will have my 5th treatment. 6 treatments
will be all they will do so I am interested in all avenues. Dale where
did you get your info? Is it on the net? Thanks for passing it on.
Bett
