hi mol'ers. i was on the list quite a few moons ago and had to leave when
things got even more hectic. but now that organized chaos has become routine,
i couldn't resist coming back to you all. i kept in touch with lil (auntie is
the best) and she kept me posted on everyone.
my connections to cancer are many. in just a few short years, i lost my
brother-in-law, 2 weeks later my sister-in-law (both had just turned 40) and a
week later my husband was diagnosed with cancer. then my dad died suddenly of
a massive heart attack. a year ago today, i found mol. believe it or not, it
was right after my best friends daughter (16 mos) was dx'd with brain cancer.
in feb my mom was taken seriously ill and now us kids provide her with 24 hr
care to keep her home. all this while trying to balance my own family and
keep my job.
i don't tell you all these things to make you sad. i tell you all these
things, because everyone needs to know that with love and support (like the
kind you get from mol) you will survive anything. sure i miss those in my
family who are gone, but i think of them everyday and smile, remembering the
good times. my husband appears to be cancer free, elise (our littlest angel)
has outlived all the docs expectations and continues the road to her destiny.
my mom, well that's more difficult, but that's ok - i deal with it.
to all the newcomers, welcome to a place that that will comfort, console,
educate and bring you peace of mind (yes it is out there waiting for you).
they'll even make laugh along the way.. to those who have been around for a
while and offered me support and guidance - thank you from the bottom of my
heart. i hope i can do the same for you...
be well all.....think a good thought....and smile, it works wonders.
