[MOL] lung cancer

My dad was recently diagnosed with small cell lung cancer which is in
the right lung and lymph nodes. No other cancer showed up on the CT scan
of his head nor on the bone scan. He is 70 years old. His general
health is fair-he takes blood pressure medication, thyroid medication
and has a blocked artery in the back of his neck. He has never had any
heart problems and still has a good appetite. He is on a schedule of
chemo for 3 days straight and then repeats this every 3 weeks for 4-6
rounds of treatment (Carboplatin and VP16). Radiation started with his
2nd round of chemo. The radiation will be every week day for 28
straight days. Are there any survivors of this kind of cancer out
there?
