Hi Lillian,
I'd like to see that (pity pot).
I called my friend Jane and encouraged her to get hooked up to the internet
so she can join this group. Her diagonsis was almost the same as mine,
stage one tumor in the left breast. However it was a little larger and when
they took the lymph nodes they found cancer cells in two of them so she has
to have chemo as well as radiation.
I'm not sure how this works. If there are cancer cells in the lymph nodes
at all is that a sign that it may have spread cells that could be deposited
elsewhere in the body? Once again I am feeling incredibly lucky that they
caught it when they did. I dreaded the very thought of chemo. I promise not
to whine and cry about radiation.
By the way, I have already passed on the message of the importance of
exercising her arm. She is a trouper; she'll do it.
I see you are fulfilling your calling, being right there as usual helping
new people find what they need. You were right there to welcome our newbie,
Doug Warren. Good for you. Maybe I will be more up to writing now. I am no
longer so tired. I actually worked an eight hour day today and I still have
energy. It feels great.
Thanks for being there.
Your friend
Liz
