[MOL] Colon cancer

I have a good friend who just underwent emergency surgery to remove
cancer from his colon. This was a complete shock to him as he was
feeling perfectly fine and began having rectal bleeding. He went to see
his doctor and within a day was in surgery. He was told they found
adenocarcinoma of the mid ascending colon. It had no lymph involvement.
It had invaded one node and they removed 24 so as to get it all he was
told. The stage he was told is Duke's C2. After looking up colon
cancer on the internet we are confused about the stages. According to
what we have read Duke's C is stage III that has lymph involvement. He
is recovering from the surgery and will be going in to meet with the
oncologist for his treatment. He does not have access to the internet
so I am helping him out. Is there anyone out there who can give us some
added direction. He is in his early 40's and in very good health, so he
thought. Thanks so much for any help. Kristina
