[MOL] Sad day for me

Hi to all,
I always sit in the background and read all of your supporting posts and
now it is my turn to seek support for this terrible disease we call
Cancer.. I am Joanne, the one who wrote of my mother beating Stage 4
Breast Cancer. We were told last week by a doctor at OHSU she was in
remission. You could imagine what our family went through when we heard
those words. I almost wrote to you all then but somehow, something in
me knew something wasn't right with her. She wasn't remembering things,
forgetting where when was, couldn't write as well as she used to and
walked very gingerly due to being off balance although she said it was
because she was weak from the chemo. I called her doctor a few days ago
and asked that they give her an MRI of the brain because I feared the
cancer was there. Her doctor doubted this because her tumor marker CA
150-3 was normal. Well, they were wrong. I got the news last night
that her cancer is back in the brain and growing. I hate the roller
coaster we have all been on with cancer. Ups and downs, that is what we
have been enduring. My mom just celebrated her 51st birthday although
she is unaware that she had a birthday. It seems she is too young for
this to happen. I always thought that the first person I would loose in
my life would be a grandparent, they are all still living. I never
thought I'd be loosing my mother. They say there is nothing more they
can do for her because she already had radiation to the brain. If any
of you know of natural remedies we can try, please don't hesitate to
write...God bless you all in this fight for cancer.
Joanne
