Hi Ron, hope you are getting rested up.
Regarding speakers 6" from ears, etc.
Guess we were just luckey, but when my wife went in for her cancer surgery,
the staff was very courteous and cooperative. Read somewhere that one needs
to get on a personal with all members of the staff as quickley as possible.
Sure, the patient is the one hurting, but to stand out, gotta pay to the
audience, in this case everyone from the doctors to the nurses to the cleaning
folks. Worked swell for my wife.
Level one and two conversations like .... have you worked here long, what do
you like about this place, got any kids and more inane stuff gets them to come
off their artificial mode which is impersonal and probably defensive on their
part.
Point is to get them to look upon you as a human being with likes, loves,
etc., just as they have. If you can get out of the mode of being .... Bed "A"
in room 327 .... and become Ron the cool guy down the hall, I believe that
much can be gained.
There were some disturbances, but we simply told Sally, Joan or whoever was on
duty what the problem was and they fixed it every time.
Maybe it was the hospital policy to be nice. This was Mercy Hospital in
Baltimore.
Final note: If anyone out there is in need of a first rate
Oncologist/gynocologist, suggest you try to get on with Dr. Niel rosenshein at
Mercy in Baltimore Md.
Don't know if he is taking any more patients at this time, he is always
swamped and works 9.5 days a week doing 12 hour days. So, expect his docket
to be full.
Appointments are not usually taken on time, because he stays swamped, but
believe he is one of the best of the best.
Happiness and a merry Christmas to you all, and to Ron, a good night.
