I went to an Acupuncturist last Friday (first time!). He subscribed the

With breakfast and dinner I take "C", my multi-vitamin, mixed caratene
and the Maitake. At lunch I take "E" and Selenium. The mixed caratene
is taken only once a day. Next time I see him I want to ask about "A".
The acupuncture experience was very interesting on physical, mental and
emotional levels. I am making lots of changes in all of those areas.
I've always been open to improving myself but it's sad that it took
cancer to get me back in touch with my family (after 11 years) and figure
out my priorities. It's ironic - I'm not glad about the cancer (or the
depression and despair that I've felt just like everybody else) but I
have more hope now for a more fulfilling future than I ever had.

Dear Barbara,
Just wanted to add my 2 cents to what excellent advise my friend Marty
gave. You are going to an excellent Cancer Center. Memorial Sloan is
were I had my surgery and am being followed...can't speak highly enough
of them and my personal experience. I agree that it is sad that
something as devistating as cancer has to open us up to what life is
about. However, I thank God that I have finally come to the realization
of the importance of experiencing all the love, caring and support that
is available from people like Marty and my family. We are truly all in
this together and together we will survive. Sorry about the soap box but
I feel strongly about my experience and the interdependence.
