Dear Marty and Barb,
Thank you for your email. The support of people like yourselves and all
the others writing in this forum has made an enormous difference in my
recovery. I realized there was a great deal of terrific info here so I've
rejoined the list. I also want to contribute and help others if I can.
I went to an Acupuncturist last Friday (first time!). He subscribed the
following (so far):
- SHEN MONG, BAO XING, and SHI FENG anti-cancer fighting herbs and immune
system boosters.
- Maitake (Mushroom) D fraction extract also for the immune system.
He told me to take 2 each of the above herbs before eating - 3 times a day.
With breakfast and dinner I take "C", my multi-vitamin, mixed caratene and
the Maitake. At lunch I take "E" and Selenium. The mixed caratene is
taken only once a day. Next time I see him I want to ask about "A".
The acupuncture experience was very interesting on physical, mental and
emotional levels. I am making lots of changes in all of those areas. I've
always been open to improving myself but it's sad that it took cancer to
get me back in touch with my family (after 11 years) and figure out my
priorities. It's ironic - I'm not glad about the cancer (or the depression
and despair that I've felt just like everybody else) but I have more hope
now for a more fulfilling future than I ever had.
Thank you again for writing.
Barbara
