Dear Torie,
That nerver damage you speak of is a condition called "neuropathy" which
in a sense is not nerve damage itself but is a condition that affects
the nerve endings as a result of prolonged chemotherapy. For most that
condition subsides and disappears in time.
Some of the remedies, by the way neuropathy in my wifes case had been
affected in the hands and feet, I don't know where yours is, but the
remedies is "Elavil" a prescription drug taken at night or morning and
the doseage can be increased and maybe start out with 30 mg tab. Another
remedy is support stockings which work well and to be worn at night at
bedtime or whenever the condition bothers you the most. But the best
remedy that works for us, is walking and walk as much as you can.
Hope this info helps you. Elavil is a generic word for Amitryptiline.
God Bless YOu
