So sorry about your Mom's dx. However do not let the stats play a big
part in your fight to win this battle. Stats are like opinions, everyone has
them.
Taxotere/Carbo combination, I believe Tricia (if you are out there Tricia
please confirm) was in a trial with that combo and her tumors are gone.
I'v read recent reports that show great success with this combo, especially
for breast cancer, but report also said the Taxol/Taxotere "are prehaps the
most important addition to the (full range of options) against cancer over
the past several decades."
I feel alternatives have helped my brother fight his lung cancer. He takes
several different things. Marty can give you details about Livingston Center
and you might check around for MD in your area that uses alternatives.
I talked my brother into a visit with Homopathic MD, he recommended
"Mistletoe" injections", I thought from what I had read that this could
really help (along with conventional chemo & radiation), my brother ordered
the Mistletoe, but he wouldn't use it. (because he would not give himself
an injection)
As Marty would say, keep a copy of all test results, blood work, etc.
