Received newsletter from ICAR today, very interesting articles, I quoted one
article to Carla and Torie.
Wanted to let you know about another one or two articles. One was
report on trial with selenium, Vit E and M (folic acid). A recent study
shows above appears to reduce cancer -related deaths by 50%. It appears to
reduce the risk of death from lung cancer by 35%, and the risk of death
from prostate and colon cancers by 67%. This was reported in Sept
at Council for Responsible Nutrition in Washington DC, presented by
Dr Gerald Combs of Cornell University.
Also information on Taxol and Taxotere. Lymphoma, Hodgkins Disease,
NSCLC , BReast Cancer and prostate cancer.
Gene's chest xray showed tumor & node still shrinking. He couldn't take
chemo this week because of low blood counts, he will have shots this
week, neuprogen and eprogen. I keep hoping to hear "remisssion".
