Hello There:
This is my first time on a chat/info group list. Hope I'm doing this
correctly!
I am searching for information regarding solutions to diminished lung
capacity.
My mother had her right lung removed due to cancer Oct. 9, 1997. She is
currently recovering from a bout with periocarditis, an inflammation around
the heart, which affected her ability to breath deeply. She is still on
oxygen. She has lost energy and strength and her left lung is diminishing
in lung capacity. Her family believe this is due to her loss of energy and
thus her ability to walk to increase her breathing.
Has anyone gone through this and have some info that may help us? We are
planning on having a second opinion by someone at Sloan-Kettering in New
York, but need to be sure we are asking the right questions.
Thank you for any assistance you may have.
