Dear Joanne,
My heart goes out to you. Please don't think in terms of losing your
mother. Now is the time to reach deep inside for the faith that I know
is there to have hope. I will keep you and your mother in my prayers.
In the meantime please contact the National Cancer Institute at
1-800-4CANCER. Discuss your mother's case with them and ask for advice
concerning the lastest treatments and clinical trials. Don't give
up...you have to fight this at all times and be strong for your mother's
sake. What she is going through, all cancer survivors live under the
cloud of...we all have only faith in God and hope of a tomarrow.
There are others more qualified than I who, I am sure will offer good
advise including dietary information that will benefit your mother in her
body's effort to expell this disease. I can only offer as a survivor,
the important role you play in helping keep your mother focused on a
positive outcome. You can never be sure what she is really aware of at
any given time...don't give up! She needs you now to be strong for
her..to be an advocate. She was seen at OSU...was it at the
Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital? If
not, give them a call at 614-298-7518. Have you sought advise of a
second opinion? A good place might be the Case Western Reserve
University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center. Their phone is 216-844-8562.
If there is anything else I can do please let me know.
Gog Bless,
John
