Dear Roz,

Alternative measures are recommended to assist standard treatment and not
necessarily replace it. The danger in going the alternative only route
is that there is rarely enough scientific evidence to say for sure it
will be as effective as standard treatment. You may want to get some
additional information about current clinical trials being conducted at
the National Cancer Institute. They can be contacted by telephone at
1-800-4CANCER and on-line at http://rex.nci.nih.gov and also at
			     http://www.nci.nih.gov
I would also go to some other sites for information such as:
Medicine On Line at http://www.meds.com
Cancer Notes On The Net at http//www.cancernews.com
NCCS Guide To Cancer Resources at
http//www.access.digex.net/~mkragen/non-java.html

The more information you have the better prepared you are to make the
choices that are ahead. There is room for consideration of every tool
that will improve our chances of survival. You don't mention if this is
for you or someone close to you. In any case please stay in touch with
this websit as there are many people here who are going through the fight
against cancer and who can lend support, advice and a sholder to cry on.
As a cancer survivor I can attest to the importance of keeping a positive
outlook. We all have to hope for success in beating this monster and
faith that God will stand by us in our fight.

God Bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.
