The radiology report that Barb received this time is inconclusive and
misinforming to me. The past two scans, radiolody reports, indicated
no evidence of disease in abdomen, pelvic and chest, one mass and node
measuring 1cm in the neck. This report finds there is focal scattered
nodes in the abdomen, pelvic and chest in the lower cervical chain.
Which means to me that there is still nodes in the lower cervical chain
in the neck not the abdomen, pelvic and chest. Yet it alludes to
disease there which there was originally in all regions of the areas of
the neck, pelvic, abdomen and chest, but the previous two reports say
there isn't. When I questioned Barbs doctor, he said the disease has
always been there since 1994 and I said "but the last two reports
indicated she was rid of disease or no evidence of disease" and he said
"well they didn't like to talk about it in the report". That statement
is nonsense and not one of an oncologist. This concerned me and I saw
the anguish on Barbs face. Two reports indicating no evidence of
disease in the pelvic, abdomen and chest, this report said there was,
but also said no difference between the last report. That is nonsense
and even I am not a doctor but seem to believe this report is vague,
inconclusive and incorrect. I can hardly wait to see a 2nd opinion, but
if I rush that it would seem to Barb, that I am very concerned
psychologically.
I am posting my concerns on various cancer discussion groups to see if
there is someone who can answer my concerns more intelligently than I
received from Barbs oncologist. For the first time I have sincere
concerns about his willingness to pick up the phone and call the
radiologist to see if there was a mistake. He didn't do that.
God Bless You All
