Dear C. Wolfe,
I am a little confused as you stated that you have been seeing an
oncologist and an obgyn. Does this mean your tumors were malignant and
that it is an ovarian type cancer? I have many questions for you to
consider asking your gynecological oncologists. By the way, we have
gone down a similar path, not with pregnancy, but with rarity of the
disease and the way it spread or metastasized.
First off: There is an indicator that it might me ovarian and that is
with a tumor marker or blood test called ca-125. What was that reading
or what is it now? If it is elevated above 35 then that is one indicator
that it might be a gynecological or ovarian disease?
WEre the tumors biopsied? Was was the result of that biopsy and did it
show insitu (malignancy in one area) or metastasis (spread to other
areas or organs)?
What was the conclusion or recommendation by the gynecological
oncologist after the birth of the baby for you if it is an ovarian
cancer?
Once I am able to understand the findings, then I will be able to
suggest somethings based on our experiences that will help support you.
God Bless YOu
