Dear Martin,

Treatment is never impossible just as sure as there is no single "majic"
bullet to cure cancer. There is always some form of treatment and
therapy to enhance a cancer survivor's life. One of the most potent is a
good dose of hope mixed with faith. This will provide you with what you
need to start your journey as a care giver to your father. If you don't
have faith in God and hope in tomarrow, your father will not be served
well.

Begin by getting some information. Some of the places to look are:
Cancer Notes on the Net at
http://www.cancernews.com
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) at
http://www.nci.nih.gov
The NCI Cancer Information Web at
http://rex.nci.nih.gov
Medicine On Line at
http://www.meds.com
NCCS Guide to Cancer Resources at
http://www.access.digex.net/~mkragen/non-java.html

Two cancer Centers considered the best in the United States are:
Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City
http://www.mskcc.org
and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas
http://www.mdanderson.org

You should also call the National Cancer Institute and talk to a live
person about your father's cancer and the latest treatments and clinical
trials available. Their number is 1-800-4CANCER

God Bless you and don't give up. Stay in touch with this website...there
are some special people here willing and able to give advise and support.
