What type of lung cancer does your Mom have. SCLC or NSCLC? What
stage.
I have read so much about stats. Don't believe them, they are like opinions,
everyone has some stats.
I'm looking forward to Martys posts, I would like to know what they tried,
what worked for them and what didn't.
My brother has nsclc stage 111b, dx 3/97. We have tried lots of things,
we are not sure what worked and what didn't. He has been on chemo
combo of Cisplatin & Navelbine since March, he also completed 25
radiation treatments during at same time he started chemo. The
tumor is about 1/4 its original size, so something is helping. We don't
know if it's the chemo or combination conventional treatment and the
alternatives.
He takes Co enzyme Q10, Milk Thistle, Vits, garlic (kyolic), astragulas,
Flor Essence tea (about same as essaic) he also has at least 2 cups
of green tea each day. I have read really good things about green tea
and its anti cancer benefits. M D Anderson is starting a trial with
green tea (using pills that equal 49 cups) along with the patients regular
chemo treatment. I have read about trial results from Europe that
show really positive results.
My brother tried Sharks, Aloe vera concentrate called T-UP and cesium,
(a mineral) these products were very expensive, about $75.00 for each
per week. He took about 2 months. We don't know if they helped or
not.
He also takes cancell or cantron. He has been taking this for about a
month.
